What My Book Is and Isn’t


“God, the Gunman and Me” is not a Christian book, nor did I write it for Christians. I wrote this book for people who hold no title. I wrote it for you.

This book is about two people with very broken pasts. It’s about the choices the gunman and I made in our lives that led us to meet in the hallway of New Life Church in Colorado Springs, shooting at each other on December 9, 2007.

The choices we all make every, single day have an impact not only in our own lives, but also in the lives of those around us. Right choices lead to life. The wrong ones, death.

The book God, the Gunman and Me is a well written and genuinely honest account of not only the events of December 9, 2007, but also the journey made from wanting the world and it's comforts to a deep desire to do God's will and in doing so overcome pain from the past and to heal. In revealing her human faults, Jeanne has written a book which shows it is possible to heal and to triumph regardless of one's past decisions and actions. In any day and age, I find that to be inspiring. It is also evident that this writing took a great deal of soul searching. This book will be added to my library, and will be given as gifts to others. God Bless and keep us all close to him.
